Should university students be required to attend classes?

Introduction

The question whether university students should be required to attend classes or not has, recently become a heated debate topic. Many people claim that attending class not only brings students many benefits but it also teaches them responsibility and discipline. Other people, in contrast, believe that students should have rights as individuals to make their own decisions about attending a class and this is also my point of view. There are numerous reasons why I hold confidence on this point, but in this essay I will explore only a few primary ones.
